Hey everyone, On Saturday the 27th of March I will be walking from my house in Marrickville to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
My aim is to raise money for The Children’s Hospital but also having fun whilst achieving this.
The walk is approximately 5 hours, give and take for drink breaks.

Its Amanda again, how is everyone going?
I am in the process of conducting another fundraiser that will be very enjoyable. On the 13th of March we will be attending Greater Union Cinemas in Burwood Westfields (Westfield Shopping Complex Burwood Road, Burwood NSW 2134). The movie is undecided but it will be between Alice and Wonderland or Blind side, depending on what everyone prefers. The cost is $23.00 and that includes your ticket, drink and popcorn. Also a portion of that will go towards The Westmead Childrens Hospital and the Westmead Medical Research Foundation as they are the reason for the event. If i am able to get 100+ then we can have a private screening( the whole cinema to ourselves) So get involved and come show your support for the charities. Those who are interested it is much appreciated; please CONTACT AMANDA on 0449 673 355.

Hi all, having conducted a few fundraisers I was determined to come up with something that was different and that would be enjoyable. Something that would allow all us contestants to really work together to raise money for our charities and show eachother support. It was then that i decided to organise a walkathon from Annandale to Bay run a 12km walk/run. It will be a great way to show our fitness and to interact with eachother outside from the pageant world. I am still in the process of organising it and putting it together but It will hopefully take place on sunday the 21st of March. I will keep you all posted on the event and whether or not the location or date will change. I hope everyone can come along and join the fun!

Next Friday night from 6:30pm I am having my second fundraiser event. This will take place at AMF Bowling located in 3/5 George st North Strathfield NSW 2137. The money that will be raised will go towards the Westmead children’s hospital and The Millennium cancer research institute. Entry fee is $20.00 per person. So come along and show your support. This Saturday the 13th, Banana Joes in Marrickville (258 Illawarra Road) have allowed me to do a sausage sizzle fundraiser. They have agreed to allow me to do this every second saturday starting at 11am. This week because it is the first week, i will have only the sausages but as the weeks progress I will make cupcakes, lebanese chocolates ( which I will be selling as an individual fundraiser aswell) etc. Through Banana Joes I have meet many potential sponsors in the Marrickville community. I had a graphics designer make me beautiful posters which will be stuck on the window so that customers are aware of who I am and what my aim is. Its going to be a lovely day and the publicity that it will bring for me in the community will be great. |
