Motto: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow”
Having just completed year 12 and left the comfortable environment of school, a whole new world of opportunities and experiences has opened up for me. Embracing this newly established independence with the vast opportunities for decision making, I have decided to enter the Miss Lebanon Australia pageant. I have made this decision as I think the pageant would be a great life experience, allowing me many opportunities to grow and develop as I meet new people and experience different things. It gives me great pride to be a contestant in this pageant representing the Lebanese community, where if I were to be successful and crowned Miss Lebanon Australia I will have the ability to make positive changes for the Lebanese community and the Australian community at large.
This year I plan to start my tertiary education and have decided to study Psychology at Macquarie University. I have chosen to take this path as I have a keen interest in listing to others and helping those in need.
I consider myself to be easy going, friendly, bubbly, down to earth and always interested in having a laugh. I am also a very hard and dedicated worker especially when I set my mind to achieving new goals. I believe that life is full of opportunities that one must grasp and take advantage of, but an individual must also truly believe in themselves in order to excel and succeed in whatever they do. I believe that people should follow their dreams as everything you desire can be achieved through hard work and belief in yourself.....If people believe in themselves, it's amazing what they can accomplish.
My family, religion and culture are extremely important to me, and they have laid strong foundations for my being. I am proud of my culture and consider it to be an important part of who I am.
I believe that looks alone are inadequate in life and that intellect, a positive attitude and self determination are essential in order to persevere and make the most out of life as true beauty is on the inside.
I consider my life to just be beginning; there are so many new experiences and opportunities out there. I believe that to get by in life we must learn from our mistakes and never regret our decisions as life is an ongoing learning process that allows us to build ourselves and our character. I think that we should live for the day and have hope for the days to come.

This Saturday the 13th, Banana Joes in Marrickville (258 Illawarra Road) have allowed me to do a sausage sizzle fundraiser. They have agreed to allow me to do this every second saturday starting at 11am. This week because it is the first week, i will have only the sausages but as the weeks progress I will make cupcakes, lebanese chocolates ( which I will be selling as an individual fundraiser aswell) etc. Through Banana Joes I have meet many potential sponsors in the Marrickville community. I had a graphics designer make me beautiful posters which will be stuck on the window so that customers are aware of who I am and what my aim is. Its going to be a lovely day and the publicity that it will bring for me in the community will be great. |
