I graduated from St Charbel’s College in 2008. The valuable education specifically the religious education learned, experiences and Lebanese culture gained has shaped me into the person that I am today. Not to mention the incredible support from my family.
I have always had an interest and love for children and for this reason I pursued a career in childcare. I am currently in my last year at Petersham College studying a Diploma in Children Services and I am currently working towards establishing my own childcare business.
I have worked at a number of Child care centres and it has been a challenging and interesting experience to see how a child at such a young age can develop different qualities and attributes that will shape them into the future.
As a child growing up in Australia within the Lebanese community I was able to truly develop an understanding and embrace the beauty of the Lebanese culture. This also developed as I travelled to Lebanon a number of times and was able to see where my parents call home. I am very fortunate to live in Australia as it has given me the opportunity and experiences that my parents were not given. One thing for sure is that I am proud to be Lebanese and this is why you see me here today.
If I win Miss Lebanon Australia I aim to work with different charities and children. Specifically teaching children and youth of the Lebanese community to understand the importance of our culture and embrace its true beauty.
I am also interested and have been involved in acting, modelling and dancing and I aim to continue to participate in such activities within the future. I consider myself to be fun, loving, and generous and always willing to help! I have a positive attitude and I believe that nothing is ever too complicated if you believe in your self.

CADBURY CHOCOLATES $1.20/$2.50 help by selling a box at your school or work! Ask to find out more For more information call samantha on Over the past weeks I have been fundraising for the Children's hospital at Westmead and Westmead Medical Research Foundation by selling Cadbury chocolates. With this in mind, I chose to target specific areas that I thought will show initiative and full support for the fundraiser. These areas included; Croydon Park, Punchbowl and Bankstown. As I visited business and child care centres in these local areas, I was amazed at the support offered. All were willing to listen to who I was and why I was here and some were even interested to attend the pageant. Each business I visited allowed me to put up my posters in front of their store and inside near the chocolate boxes as a guide to customers as to why the chocolates are being sold and to which charity it will be for. It was a very interesting and fun couple of weeks as different cultures of the community were interested to learn more about the beauty pageant, specifically the dedication that I demonstrated to support the two charities involved.The business that offered their 100% support and interest to sell Cadbury chocolates in their store are:
It was a fun experience meeting new people and introducing the pageant Miss Lebanon Australia to different cultures in the community specifically those who were Lebanese and did not know about it. I want to thank all the business for their support and I have included photos below. Due to privacy reasons, I was not able to take photos of the childcare centre I visited in Punchbowl because they did not want to be seen on the internet; however their enthusiasm is much appreciated. Next Friday night from 6:30pm I am having my second fundraiser event. This will take place at AMF Bowling located in 3/5 George st North Strathfield NSW 2137. The money that will be raised will go towards the Westmead children’s hospital and The Millennium cancer research institute. Entry fee is $20.00 per person. So come along and show your support. This Saturday the 13th, Banana Joes in Marrickville (258 Illawarra Road) have allowed me to do a sausage sizzle fundraiser. They have agreed to allow me to do this every second saturday starting at 11am. This week because it is the first week, i will have only the sausages but as the weeks progress I will make cupcakes, lebanese chocolates ( which I will be selling as an individual fundraiser aswell) etc. Through Banana Joes I have meet many potential sponsors in the Marrickville community. I had a graphics designer make me beautiful posters which will be stuck on the window so that customers are aware of who I am and what my aim is. Its going to be a lovely day and the publicity that it will bring for me in the community will be great. |
